As we conduct our work for IFA, we have been asked many times, "What does the Illinois Finance Authority do?"

Instead of answering with financial detail, we prefer instead to say, "We help Illinois grow."

In fact, that is what we do. In 2007 we financed nearly $3 billion for farms, schools, hospitals, businesses, communities and not-for-profit organizations so that they could expand, improve operations, innovate, and grow.

IFA structures financing arrangements to support growth initiatives throughout Illinois - initiatives that create and keep jobs, stimulate the economy and improve quality of life.

As we move into our next year of operation, IFA will actively seek new opportunities, open additional markets and develop useful products.
